The creative spaces of artists and writers do feel like inherently liminal spaces. They are meant to have their consistencies and yet also always be transitional as the work changes. The studio spaces I most enjoy seeing are those that show their use. Warm and eclectic spaces filled with materials, tools, inspiration, and personality.

I love seeing other artist’s studios and workspaces! I feel like my perfect portal places exist in two parts — where I’m actually feeling the “zing” of inspiration (usually while traveling or just exploring something new) and the place where I put it all together (like my studio or a quiet kitchen table in an Airbnb early in the morning while my family is still sleeping). ❤️
